Oh my goodness its October already:):)

Hi All!! It's Ingrid and I am finally back to make a post:) well the last month has just been one the craziest ever..as most of you know my Dad passed away almost a month ago now and that required me to fly back home for a week and I have only now fully recovered from the lack of sleep I had over the last two months. My Kindy was great about the whole issue though and that helped a lot.

Since i got back its just been work, work, work! Yes i leave at 7:30am and get home the earliest 7:30 pm! Yip and thats early...the reason for this is because there is usually always someone either sick or going on vacation at the branch so a person needs to do extra hours. Which is great for the bank account but stressful on the mind:) One sees the children as angels but also little monsters sometimes..depending on how much sleep one gets the night before:) I'm really getting into the routine of things which makes teaching so much easier. Subbing other peopel's classes also has other advantages, like you get exposed to different classes, how they operate and also different class materials. It also makes one realise that the classes we have aren't that bad! I missed my middle class of Kindy when teaching baby class but i thought middle class knew nothing in english but they are like professors compared to the smaller ones:). in other words they understand when you tell them to go to the bathroom! Haha. Its really interesting though.

In other news, we get asked to do some really strange things..like the hokey pokey for a community festival..and i was a jade rabbit in a play avout moon festival..we are also required to dress-up for Halloween and if it scares the kids, thats good! Also Ems is practicing his drumming for sports day. But hey you get paid to do these interesting things so its all good!

I also don't think i've ever mentioned this but I take a bus to school..and its for free! Yes, they have a civil bus here that runs every 10-20minutes (depending on the time of day) and it does a specific route which just happens to pass our home and school! Yes i am still scared to ride a scooter but if you saw how the people drive here you would understand:).

ok that it for now! I will post again soon!! And updates on Taiwan to follow...
